Last updated: 19 August 2026
Setline is a volleyball scorekeeper and rotation helper for iPhone. Match recaps, your named lineup, an in-progress match, and appearance settings stay on your device.
What we collect
Setline does not create an account, does not require a sign-in, and does not send match recaps to our servers. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising identifier, and no third-party tracker.
Stored only on this iPhone:
- match recaps you choose to save (team names, set scores, date)
- a six-person lineup you name (first names / nicknames and setter start zone)
- an in-progress match so you can resume after leaving the scoreboard
- appearance and offense-system preferences
- optional bookmarked FIVB headlines (title and link), if you use World news
Team names you type are yours. Do not store information you are not allowed to keep.
Network use
The core app (scoreboard, rotation, rules, positions, recaps) works offline.
If you open World news, Setline downloads the public FIVB press RSS at
https://www.fivb.org/vis/rss/press.aspx. That request is not made on launch.
Opening a headline may open fivb.org in Safari.
If you tap Share recap, iOS shows the system share sheet. We do not receive that copy.
Permissions
Setline does not request camera, photos, microphone, location, Health, Motion, or contacts.
Health
Position notes and scoring tools are reference material, not medical advice, and are not shared with Apple Health.
Children
The app is a general sports utility. We do not collect personal data off-device.
Deleting data
Delete a recap from its detail screen. Discard an in-progress match from the scoreboard. Uninstalling the app removes local files.
